favorite method.. hmm.. i would have to say it's circumstantial. i have over the years developed my own ideas for figure proportion.. a five unit measurement.. but it may take too long to explain in the comments section. if i have some extra time i'll try and post a bit on it.. stay tuned..
Always admired your work, since you posted that Sargent master copy tutorial, got hooked, and your figure drawing has been just getting better, really amazing, one of the best!

Nice.......I haven't done any figure drawing in a really long time. I should try to make an effort to get out there and do that.
These are great.
Those are sweet Kinman!
Wow these are amazing! I'm really impressed. How long are the poses?
the poses in these workshops are anywhere from 5-20 mins.. i usually straggle in late, so these were probably in the 10's or 20's range..
...it looks so delicious, Kinman. makes me feel hungry.
Great stuff as usual. I'm sure you're a hell of a lot better now.
Which is a scary thought.
Such dedication to your craft, long live the workshops. Very nice Kinman!
Beautiful stuff...love those collages. Such a nice sense of energy and confidence to your line work as well.
Hey, I came accross your blog and think your artwork looks great! Your life studies are fantastic! Can't wait to see more.
Hi!, great poses and sketches. What would you say is your favorite method for blocking out figure poses proportionally?
